In The Mood For Cupcakes

Today I saw the Martha Stewart Show and there was this lady who had a passion for cupcakes and created a store. Add to that program another cupcake siting! Okay so on the weekend I saw this dude on Food Network create cupcakes. Red Velvet, Strawberry, and Chocolate. They all looked good. So basically I am in the mood for cupcakes. Who wouldn't want to eat this great mini cake. It's better than a cake because you can try different types of cakes.
So, because I feel in the mood for them, I want delight the senses and possibly taunt people with these nice photos.

Late Night Cravings for Food, Movies, and Marine Biology

So right now I have a great and utter impulse for food, movies and marine biology. I was thinking of creating a website for a bit to display the utter 'good life' with good food, music, and movies, but I opted not to. I figured I will probably abandon the project within about a week of creating it. So instead I decided to finally blog something on this blog.
Food: one of the many things I live for. Though food is the reason why I am still alive, I do find it great to live for food- be a food critic and that. As of right now I have a thing for sushi. Wow, what an insightful report about food, talking about a food topic most people talk about yet somehow manage to get wrong. Well sushi actually means vinegared rice, but colloquially is now the raw fish that most people eat. I went to Japan a few years ago, back in 2005, and enjoyed everything about it. Basically I went restaurant hunting, but every restaurant impressed me with their great food and service. The fish is so fresh and the rice is perfect. I find myself craving for this delectable dish, even though I ate just finished a great slice of cake.
Movies. I absolutely adore them. Except really bad ones, like movies do not deserve to be made. Mostly those modern National Lampoon movies. There used to be funny ones, but now they are mostly old and recycled sex comedies. I just saw the trailer for In Bruges for the umpteenth time and I am still in love with it. My favorite line from it is "If I had grown up on a farm and was retarded, Bruges might impress me, but I didn't, so it doesn't." It is very insensitive yet a very brutally honest opinion, which many people from my area lack. That's why back stabbing and rumors propagate so quickly here. Besides In Bruges, I also saw the trailer for Vantage Point which seems pretty interesting. Though at first I wasn't that interested, mainly because of Dennis Quaid, when I finally saw the trailer before watching Sweeney Todd in theaters, it actually looked interesting. Though I truly did not like Matthew Fox. Despite that minor setback, Vantage Point looks interesting, plus the plot outline does include Rashomon.
Marine biology is something I recently got interested in. I went to Monterey a few weeks back and brought my camera along. I took pictures, albeit in my opinion bad ones, of sea life, including mussels and star fishes and the moss around the rocks. It seems pretty interesting and I do enjoy the sun and water.

The Premise

Well, hello. This is my first post, and I hope to leave a lasting (or not so lasting) impression. Well, basically I would like to use this blog to write about what's going on with life and also comment on things I've seen and observed. Before this blog, I used an artsy website as my main webpage to blog, and I was not too happy about that place, because everyone there were pricks. And the blogging tools weren't so great either.
I will rant and I will talk about what I want to talk about here. The problem with the other place too was that I did get a few users to read my blogs. And though they were excited at first, I kept talking about one major issue in three posts that they got tired and ran away. Yay, excitement. So, since this is my little blog, I will talk and talk about the same issue many times- but not all the time.
Enjoy what I have to say, because I do have opinions unlike those sycophants.
